A New Voice

by Bro. Dave Bryan - Senior Pastor

These past several months, our music ministry has been blessed under the leadership of our Senior Adult Minister, Rusty Stowe. He has coordinated our worship services and worked with our choirs, soloists, praise team, and instrumentalists. His love for the Lord and for the church has been evident. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate this man. He has proven to be a consistent voice these past days, and we as a church have been touched by the Lord through his ministry. Rusty thank you. You’ve gone over and above, my friend, and your church family is grateful!

God has been using Rusty to prepare us for a new day and a new voice for our worship ministry. Several weeks ago, our church agreed to ask Jon Duncan to be our Interim Worship Minister, and Sunday, January 29th will be his first day. Jon comes with a proven track record of leading churches in their worship ministry with more than 40 years of local church and denominational service, primarily in Oklahoma and Georgia. Since 2002, he has served as the worship consultant and catalyst for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, where he oversaw ministry consultants who worked with local churches in all areas of worship ministry needs. He now serves as senior professor of church music and worship in the School of Church Music and Worship at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Mary live in the Oklahoma City area.

A new voice joins us on Sunday, January 29th. I’m looking forward to the days ahead, folks. It’s a joy to be your pastor!

Bro. Dave
