There is a song by 7eventh Time Down called “God is on the Move” and the chorus of that song goes, “God is on the move, on the move, Hallelujah God is on the move in many mighty ways, God is on the move, on the move Hallelujah, God is on the move, on the move today.”
As followers of Christ we know that to be true, but sometimes the distractions of the world cause us to miss seeing what God is doing all around us. During VBS God did some amazing things in the lives of the children that attended. We know of 5 that gave their lives to Jesus and others that where wanting to follow through with baptism.
This week our youth are off to Super Summer camp and I know the Lord is going to move in each one of their lives. Children’s camp happens at the end of the month, and then two weeks of Falls Creek in July.
Our Vision 2024 Task Force has been meeting the past several months evaluating our many ministries to see how we can better reach our community with the Gospel.
God is on the move!!!
Years ago, I went through the Experiencing God bible study. In that study the author Henry Blackaby proposes that there are 7 steps for knowing God’s will. The first step is “God is always at work around you.” God is moving and working all around us, we just need to focus on Him and join Him in His work.
Please be praying for the many things that are going on in and through our church in the coming months. Pray that as God moves in the lives of His people they will respond to Him and join Him in His work. Pray that God would use the many events and activities this summer to draw the lost to Him so that they may be saved.
Remember, God is on the move and at work all around us.
