GOSPEL MINDSET?
JEFF KIMES
What are the characteristics of a Gospel mindset?
1. To have a love for God. Matt. 22:37 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
2. To have a love for your neighbor. Matt. 22:38 “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
3. To have a burden for the lost. Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”
4. To have a desire to study God’s Word. Psalm 119:11 “Your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against you.”
To have a gospel mindset is to want to learn how to love God with everything you have, to want to find ways to show love to your neighbor, to want to see the lost come to Jesus and to study God’s word so that He may be glorified through you.
A member of our church was sharing with me that they had been praying for an opportunity to share the gospel with their One, and the Lord spiritually tapped them on the shoulder and said what about sharing with the person working on your house? That is having a gospel mindset, being sensitive to the Spirit for any opportunity to glorify God. As we walk further into the summer of Who’s Your One, pray for opportunities to share the gospel with your One, but be open to the other opportunities that God may open up.
