Things are ever changing in preschool and children’s ministry, but God is at work and it is exciting to be a part of the journey. As you know, our preschool coordinator position came open at the end of June. Little did I know, God had already been working on the heart of someone in our congregation to take over this position.
I am excited to introduce you to our new Preschool Ministries Coordinator, Bridgette Lancaster! Bridgette and her husband, Lee, have been members of CHBC for many years. They have two beautiful daughters, Mary & Alli. Bridgette comes to us with many years of experience working with families and children. She is a certified Early Childhood and Elementary Education teacher. She taught in various classrooms in the Stillwater area, and also taught several different grades for Agra Public School before coming to Mustang Public Schools in 2009 to teach Kindergarten. Bridgette and Lee felt a strong calling from God to homeschool their two girls which she has been doing ever since. She currently teaches a few classes in their homeschool co-op. Before coming to CHBC, Bridgette helped set-up the Mother’s Day Out program at her previous church where she wrote their curriculum and taught classes. Bridgette has taught in CHBC preschool, is currently our preschool choir director and is also our 2nd grade Sunday school teacher. She recently finished helping me with VBS as our Preschool Director where she did a phenomenal job! As you can see, Bridgette comes to us fully qualified and experienced for this position. There is so much more I could tell you about Bridgette and her qualifications, but the most important thing about Bridgette is that she loves God, she loves children, and she loves ministry. She has already jumped in with both feet. She is excited to assist our wonderful Sunday school teachers, growing our ETC volunteer group, and putting together an awesome Wednesday night program for our preschoolers. She has visions and goals of community outreach, and she is excited about the future of CHBC preschool.
God is at work in CHBC preschool and I’m excited to see how He is going to use Bridgette, and her family, to minister to our families and help grow our program. The next time you see Brigette, let her know how excited you are that she is coming on board our staff and assure her that you will be praying for her in the days ahead.
