NEED A RESET?

PUP ROGERS, STUDENT MINISTER

Back in the late ’80s or early ’90s, a game station came out of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I loved this thing and it was awesome. I had a good time with the likes of Mario Brothers and Techmo Super Bowl. Way too many hours were spent in front of that screen. The thing about it was you couldn’t save anything. If it was going wrong you just had to hit reset and start over. Sometimes in life I feel we would like to do the same thing. If something was not what we thought it would be, we could hit the reset button. We wish we could give ourselves a second chance.

I think in life, this is important to remember. We serve a God of second chances and a God that does not give up on us. When God sees us, He sees us as broken but not unfixable. I look forward to knowing God can redeem a broken heart and make a lame man walk again.

“LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” — Psalm 30:2

Take joy in the reset.

Allow God to speak.

Enjoy His love.
