As I write this newsletter article, it is 70 degrees outside and spring is only a few short weeks away. February has already been a busy month. It started with the Beast Feast on February 4th; we fed 250 men and boys, and heard an inspiring word from Senator James Lankford. It took many people to organize and make this event happen and I thank you for your willingness to minister to our men.
The Monday after the Beast Feast, a group headed off to Mexico to work at the seminary in Zihuantanejo. I have been trying to get there for 3 ½ years and after 2 canceled trips I
finally made it. The group had a wonderful time and completed several jobs that the seminary had for us to do. I look forward to the next several years of partnering with them and many more trips to encourage and enrich the people with the love of Jesus and
the Gospel.
We will start next month with our Teacher Summit. You do not want to miss out on this opportunity to meet with Doug Matlock the Oklahoma Baptist's Director of Discipleship and Small Groups. He will be there to equip and encourage you as we look at what it is to be a Transformational Teacher. If you’re a teacher you need to be there if you just want to be encouraged be there. We will start promptly at 8:45 am and end around 11:45 am.
