Dear Friend,
They say that variety is the spice of life. Yet, when it comes to troubles, I’m not sure variety is such a good thing. When it comes to food, I tend to have a pretty simple palate, and too much spice can ruin an entire meal as far as I’m concerned. When it comes to life events, well, sometimes such variety brings a little too much spice! Has anyone else experienced emotional and spiritual heartburn when the circumstances of life get a bit overwhelming?
If so, I encourage you to be a part of our worship service this Sunday morning. We will be looking at James 1:1-4. As we follow Christ, the world might throw different things our way, but James gives us a word of advice, and that word is ‘joy’! God is still at work, and the child of God is still under His care. Even in a day such at this, God is at work!
On Sunday night, July 26th, we will be sharing in the Lord’s Supper at 6:00 pm. It will be a special service and I hope you can attend. This will be the first Lord’s Supper service we’ve shared in the sanctuary since the days of social distancing began. I believe it is going to be a wonderful night of worship for our church family.
And, if you can get online, don’t forget our weekly question and answer session this Wednesday at 6:00 pm. It’s called CHBC Live and I think you’ll enjoy the discussion.
