Dear Friends,
Can you remember the world before COVID-19? It was a world where you shook hands instead of touching elbows and where a smile was not hidden by a mask. We met face to face, not screen to screen. Your pastor could visit you in the hospital and friends could stop by anytime. And, no one had ever heard the term ‘social distancing.’ Do you remember?
This Sunday, I will be preaching a message from Joshua 1. God had words of hope and encouragement for Joshua, and they are excellent words for us today. Throughout the first nine verses, God reminds Joshua that he is not alone. He is not isolated. He is not cut off. The Lord of Heaven and Earth proclaims, ‘I am with you!’
As we continue through these days, I pray for you! I know the days are challenging, but we are working diligently to find our new normal as we look ahead. In the meantime, please let me know of any need you have. Your church loves you and wants to be with you in the coming weeks!
